A New Direction

So I had this idea floating in my head for several months, with bits and pieces of it lying around my studio… Well finally I can show off “Test Device #02″. A new direction from my usual graf influence, but one I am certainly glad I pursued and this will be the first in a series, so more to come. Let me know what you think.

Caps Lock?

So this Friday is my last day at work for a little under a month, Rad I know! In my time off I have a few things I need to get to, one of which is the massive stack of blank caps I have lying around. I will be painting them all up they will be up for sale in the new year so stay pealed. Here is the first done and dusted.

“Street” Art

Definitely a new take on street art… every year the small Swiss ski village of Vercorin asks artists to come and create art during the summer. Art that encompasses the whole village and puts a modern spin on the otherwise rustic setting. Love it!

What a RAD idea for a tattoo! I definitely need to come up with something like this. The tat belongs to one Megan Orsi, a Sr. Lead Web Designer from the States.

The Given Toys - Webstore

Today saw the launch of my mini webstore. The site will be used to sell any non-show custom as well as any resin or production figures I make. Check it out and let me know what you think the occasion also marks the launch of my new “Solid Gold” Custom Keg O’ Boom, available here.

Militarized Paper

How I wish I could find the pdf layouts of this bad boy, AMAZING! Taking paper craft beyond the next level, PostlerFerguson (aka Martin Postler and Ian Ferguson) created this superbly detailed AA Canon. You can see it in deconstructed form after the hop as well as a few other equally cool paper weapons.

Makin Munny at Design Indaba

Yesterday I was given the opportunity to help Kronk host a vinyl toy customising workshop at South Africa’s Design Indaba. All I can say is thank you! Thank you to Kronk for inviting me to help host the class and thank you to Design Indaba for giving us the platform. It was a rich, rewarding and rad experience. Getting to meet so many people passionate about art was fantastic and getting to see them transform that passion into my favourite medium was brilliant. We have some real talent out there folks! Here’s hoping to it being even bigger and better next year.

This is What it’s all About

This Blog above all else is a place for me to share the stuff I find inspiring and I tell you what, without a doubt, I WILL have my pens out tonight. FUCKING AMAZING!

How it all Went Down

So over the last while you would have seen me mention the Toitoy X Puma custom show and I must say the event didnt disapoint. The turn out was great and the atmosphere even better, had fun meeting some of the other artists and was awesome to get lots of great feed back on my pieces. Check out my completed set below and you can see the rest after the hop.

This is Why!

I love art, that’s no secret. I started this blog so that I could share not only my own stuff but also the stuff around me that inspires me to keep improving. This video, which I came across this morning is the very essence of this, from digital artist Dei Gaztelumendi. Watching this makes me want to sit and draw all day just to see if I can recreate something with so much magic. Beautiful.
